As much as I like Velminth. I can't find any logical reasoning for the 16.0 update. Even the few updates before that were highly questionable. Like the the 2 combat overhauls. No need for that in the slightest.
Hi! it's not a reupload, it's a remake of the game, made from scratch using a different engine. For now I'll keep working until I recreate all the content from the old 15.2 version and then we'll see.
There's been a discussion about that on F95Zone. The options are using AI, hiring another artist, convincing Velminth to join this project, or finish it as a bug free 15.2 with all the currently available assets and give Saria a proper goodbye.

I can't find any reason for turning the game from turn based rpg to card based vn.
